Meth Injection
just purchased a stage three water/meth injection system. never installed one of these. is it like a nitrous system as far as installing? anyone hook up one or know how well they perform as far as lowering egts and increasing power?
tread carfully, as with anything, too much of a good thing can be hazardous. nothing in your sig to say what you have, what kind of truck, what mods.. one thing that can help a lot with meth is head studs, it really increases pressure to the point where stock heads might not hold if you go with a stronger mix of meth " this one time on the dyno" cooling depends on how much you use, how hot you get, are you towing racing or daily driving. You also need to pick what nozzles, and then play with the pressure setting, and boost level on, boost level full on..............
It is nothing like a nitrous kit, if thats what your looking for send it back now. Water injection cools the intake charge, meth adds some fuel to the fire and also cools the intake charge more. Do not run more then 40% meth.
This is coming from someone with over 200k on water injection, testing MANY kits, nozzles, pumps and the likes...
And no studs needed...

Sounds like someone that has never messed with it much...
I have messed with it, and seen what it can do on "just a dyno run" Watched a friend add a bit too much boost juice and puke his gasket. I would rather let the new guy be forewarned, than towed home.
Spent alot of hours strapped to a dyno with a pressure sensor in watching what water can do...
it is a 99 7.3 with 80k, edge cts, afe stage 2 intake, powerflow five inch stacks, 4inch dp, banks big head actuator, itp boost fooler.the system i bought is a snow system. i will more then likely be putting in a modded idm before doing this as well. i didnt plan on going real high as far as power, just wanted a little more cheap horsepower and the lowering of the egt's is always nice.

i use the truck for everything, a little towing, drag racing and i drive it daily.
