Check vp44 electronic fix

1st take off intake elbow

2nd is to take off throttle linkage stuff just put to the side there's only three bolts and a wire harness underneath it

3rd is take off the top of the injector pump UNPLUG IT FIRST THEN REMOVE .PLEASE DONT REMOVE THE PUMP LEAVE IT ON THE TRUCK follow this link to utube it will show you how to take it off just follow instructions very easy
JUST COPY AND PASTE INTO BROWSER

4TH TAKE OFF PLASTIC COVER YOU WILL SEE IT IN MY PHOTOS HERE IS THE LINK TO MY ONLINE PICTURES

AND TAKE IT TO A ELECTRONICS GUY TO DO THE SOLDERING FOR YOU, TELL THE GUY TO FOLLOW THE PICTURES OF WHERE TO SOLDER THE THINGS AND YOU WOULD BE GOOD TO GO .
DONT GO AND BUY ALL THE SOLDIERING GEAR AND ATTEMPT IT YOURSELF LIKE I DID . I ENDED UP TAKING IT TO A ELECTRONICS DUDE . TO DO IT FOR ME LOL

p.s. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU OUT IT SURE HELPED ME and it cost me under $50 dollars to fix a problem that potentially would have cost thousands HAVE A GOOD DAY

its for a vp44 . electronic fix. 95% of the time a vp44 goes out its the circuit board. like when a person gets dead pedal. or they shut it off and it wont start or it starts but really rough . the circuit boards are prone to getting loose connection or a certain transistor gets stuck on and fries it self

Yes, in many cases, it is the "fix" for the 0216 code. The OP has a good point, no popcorn necessary....

Soldering one corroded connection and one loose connection allowed me to "save" my current VP-44 - 26k miles ago.

However, current boards on the VP-44 are supposed to be upgraded and this problem is supposed to be no longer as prevalent.... "Supposed to" being the operative phrase.

very very good info.....but this don't work if you have a mechanical failure code....right?
