10k mod worth doing?

Default 10k mod worth doing?

I've been reading up on the 10k mod and I understand what it does, but half the people say its worth it and the others say its a waste of time and to hold out for a chip. does it raise EGT alot? any input?

i had a dial that worked the same as the 10k mod, and it did raise alil because your dumping more fuel in the motor, but if your going to do it, buy the dial, it has like 4 settings on it and you can shut it on and off, but i would buy a chip or programmer

All it does is truck the Computer into increasing ICP. My buddy has it on his truck and he likes it. I never did it because I felt that a custom tuned chip would be a better investment. Plus I don't like cutting wires just to undo it later when i did get a chip.

yea, im just trying to be a cheap bastard cuz once again i am unemployed, but I think i will do the EBV jake brake mod though. I ordered my downpipe and already have a homemade cat delete, straight pipe, and intake, so I think i'll hold out for a 6 pos. chip.

You'll be happier with a chip over the 10k mod. And you will be super happy with the aftermarket downpipe and straight pipe.
