how do you figure? dont they both use 35 spline inner and 30 outers? not to mention that thoe ford axles are balljoints arent they? and the dodge dana 60's are kingpins
If the Dodge axle is '93 or older, it would be comparable strength-wise to most older Ford 60s.

Actually, Dodge CAD axles are 32 spline inners, and 32 spline outers, and they have balljoints also. The 2-piece shaft is a major weak point, and the disconnect in the housing is also a bad spot. So I'd agree that the pre '99 ford 60 is far superior. Not to mention that it has real wheel bearings and locking hubs.

He said pre-99 as in 86-99 D60.
How did you find an F-350 that didn't have a D60? It's rare to find a D50 under a 1 ton...or did I miss something and this was a 2wd F-350 you are converting to 4wd?

what ever it was im glad im putting the dana 60 from my dodge under it especially since it is a leaf spring front no rather than the coil. ok back to the main topic. will a set of 2" add a leafs and 2" shackels be able to match my 4" blocks in the rear to clear 315/75/16?
