My biggest one is GET RID OF THE DUEL MASS CLUTCH! Its a piece of **** and dose more damage to your rig then help with 'noise' and better power as fords said. They fall part quickly and leave your starter and U-joints in a state of FUBAR. All of the 5 speed 80 and 90's fords i owned and worked on all had that blasted duel mass crap. all same problems. So do your self a favor and get rid of it. NAPA auto parts has a kit for 320 bucks prolink number is MU19891SK best damn thing you could do

I'm pretty sure some already mentioned it but BEFORE your even think about turning up the fuel invest in a pyrometer. These motors will burn up very quick if your not careful. Also get rid of the stock style intake tube that mounts to the radiator support, go to the hardware store and get some 4" dryer duct and make your own, also if you haven't already remove the "soupbowl" in the air cleaner housing. Then go with a free flow exhaust, Cackler is right the motor is basically a glorified air pump and the easier and faster the cool air goes in and out the more efficiently the motor will run as well as have plenty more power. I'd also look in to having the fuel system (I.e Injector Pump, and Injectors) rebuilt and gone through. After a while the IP will begin to wear out this causing your timing to fluctuate all over the place. And believe it or not just having the fuel system refreshed will bring back plenty of lost power.

Also in regards to the DMF to SMF conversion if uougo to Oilburners.net and do a search for the "Lucky Mod" you will fond out how to do the conversion for about $10 in bolts and and a lil bit of your own time.
