are you talkin about using the fuel filter asthe crank case filter or just putting it between the turbo and the filter if putting it between there is no sense really in even having that tube going to our turbos the 5.9s never did why would we do our 6.7s

Plug the hole in your intake tube then run a tube from your crankcase vent down to the frame rail and remove the filter you do not need to put 1 back in

ya you can do that. but then u eventually have the oil build up on everthing around the hose. just like the older cummins do on almost all of them. with the 90* elbow what oil tries to come up runs back in and dont come out. it all works though

i just ordered glacier diesels ccv filter breather kit. it is pert near identical to coorsman's setup. 40 bucks like cummins05 said. i too am gutting the ccv filter once i get it. although glaciers kit "from there description" still utilizes the stock ccv filter. all they were trying to accomplish was to keep buildup from clogged ccv filters from being dumped in the intake/turbo/intercooler. anyway, in my book there is no need for the ccv filter as overengineered from the factory it is soley for emmisions. gutting it will cause no harm but i have seen guys gutting them an just running hoses down next to the fram rail for the vent. this bothers me. coors man has the right idea with gutting an his filter setup and that is exactly the way i intended to do it. my issue with running the hose down past the frame with no filter an calling it a day is this, in the event of negative crankcase pressure ie.(wot to no throttle ect) that line will become a vaccum. granted under 'NORMAL' driving conditions this shouldnt be an issue as the older models that just vent atmospherically are fine. but for me a filter IS needed but not the over the top factory deal, one for piece of mind and two cause i like to smash the skinny pedal from time to time. just my .02 cents. nice setup coorsman

Glacier Diesel

And you want to keep the CCV filter intact, it keeps the oil from spewing into your engine bay after the hose delete to your turbo. The guy from Glacier also said to wash the little round filter every 10,000 miles or so with soap and water.

Don't put to much thought into it.the four corners of the ccv filter pry apart with a screwdriver scrape filter element out with screwdriver put upper part of filter housing back under valve cover.removeube to intake plug hole in intake tube.run 3/4 tube from outlet tube on valve cover down to frame rail done. Did mine over a year ago works great.
