Welcome to DB. I run the Amsoil BMK-21 with the Bp-100 Filter. It's a 60,000 mile filter and I run my oil change interval to 25,000 running 15W-40AME Oil. I just felt that the FS was too much money to spend. The BP-100 filter is 98.7% Efficient at 2 microns Absolute. You can do the math and see which one would suit you best. Amsoil by-pass was better for me.

ya all the literature on the FS2500 says it removes soot.
I'm going to give it a shot, I am alittle nervous how the filter mounted under the truck outside the frame rail will handle the 50 below weather we get up here...
I'll keep you all posted..

ZWhite where did you mount the amsoil bypass? Theres not much room under the hood in in 07.5. And 25,000 for oil changes? Are you using Amsoil? There was a note from Amsoil about using the standard oil change intervals with the 07.5's and up because of the DPF's and EGR's. Or did I misunderstand something?

I mounted mine behind the passenger side inner fender. I drilled the core support mount and bolted it right to that mount. This way it's out of the way and kind of protected from rocks and stuff. Amsoil will tell you not to mount the by-pass system on the engine due to vibration but a lot of people do and I haven't heard of any problems doing it that way. I looked around and decided on that location.

You are correct on the intervals and things on the DPF equipped trucks. Mine has had the E P A Enhancements done to it. Whit's location sounds like it might be a good spot too. I'm running Amsoil AME 12 TBN with a full flow EO80 and you can run 25,000 and beyond with Analysis. I'm not going to do samples and just run the 25,000 or once a year. I didn't take any pictures of my install because we had a problem with boogered threads on top of the full flow mount tap location and had to chase those out. I can go out and take a few and post if you want.

I got mine all installed last weekend and it leaks. It's leaking at the back of the unit around where the bolt holes are. I'm not sure if it's cracked or what. I tightened the filter up thinking it was just loose like it wasn't sealing off good. Well, after getting the strap wrench after it and getting it as tight as I could, it still leaked. So, I called Amsoil and they gave me a tracking number to track the situation. They said they would reimburse me for all of it and get me a new filter as well. We'll see if this new one they send me leaks. If it does, I'm done with amsoil by-pass systems. Their aluminum filter unit is really soft. I can't find any visual defect but it's leaking somewhere. I may have to look at the FS2500 as well.

installed the FS2500 easy to do uses holes already on frame , put together all the threaded connections i could on bench before install.
removed airbox and threaded the inlet line to the top of the oilfilter housing, a theaded hole was already there from factory replaced the fill cap with there return line cap and started the engine ran it until oil came out the return line maybe 30 to 45 seconds shut it off changed oil and filter added about an extra quart and a half all is good no leaks no runs no errors.
will keep you posted if any issues so far so good..

Cool man. I hope everything works good for a long time. I'm going to look around and see who has the best price for one of those. As soon as my BMK-21 comes back we'll see if I need an FS system.
