Default Is a EGR delete necessary?

Ok I've been buying some parts for my 2007.5 6.7L while I've been deployed.
So far I've got a K&N CAI, 4in turbo back AFE exhaust, and a Edge Attitude/w Juice CTS.
I won't be subjecting this truck to any extreme conditions ie. sled pulls or drag races, but I would like to know if an EGR delete is necessary.

First, thank you for your service. I'm over here in the sandbox myself at the deep water port down south.

If you plan on doing the deletes, then yes its needed. Most folks here will tell you to do it anyway because it just fowls up the engine to begin with.

if its the only thing you do to the truck the egr delete is a must, it soots up the intake and turbo way bad and just causes alot of problems down the road.

Gotcha Guys, thanks for the input, I will be buying a EGR delete here in the next week.
I know that the EGR delete will cause a check engine light to come on, Does anyone know if the EDGE attitude w/ juice race version will clear this code?

If not I will be ordering a H&S Black Maxx turner and see if can return the Edge to Extream Diesel.com.

Anyway I should be home for some leave in December I will post some pics and let yall know how every thing turns out.

I would do the mini maxx its the same tuning as the black maxx and its $250 dollars cheaper. Edge makes great products but for the dpf and egr on a dodge hands down H&S performance products. And yes get rid of the egr its nothing but trouble

mini maxx is awsome.

You'll freak when you open the mini max box. Thinking holy crap thats small, but you love it after you mount it and realize it's big enough to use easily and the screen is very clear and it doesn't block view, if you glass mount it.
