i cant find where it says that theres anything wrong with doing it but i did find that the k&N oil and the cotton fabric in the k&n filter work together some how but i bet that it will work with any cotton fabric filter that basically the same but not positive

s&b sells a filter recharge kit.... I bought one when I bought the airbox for my truck. I have the stuff for a k&n, but wasn't sure/didn't want to chance it.

How many miles did it take for your s&b to get dirty? Mine's been on for abotu 10K and it still looks prety clean, I even loosened up the clamp and gave it a spin to make sure one spot wasn't getting dirty real quick, didn't appear to be the case at all.
