ya it will work without a tuner but you will get more smoke with one be the only difference a tuner wont play no part really another way you can go is get a fleece boost controler and you can turn your boost off pretty much and it will smoke or when your towing turn it up for a lil more pep thats what i got

it will work with the fleece controller, let me search for one of my old threads and ill post up the info.

here is a post i posted in another thread

I havent went and drove yet, but with the smoke switch wired in after the fleece controller, it will only show 10 psi of boost with any position of the fleece controller. With the smoke switch wired in before the fleece controller and closest to the map sensor, it will work. With the fleece controller in the stock boost setting position it will show 32 psi, just like it was before the fleece install, but with the **** all the way to the right, or clockwise it will read 23 psi, and as you slowly turn the **** the psi slowly drops, and opposite to the left or counter clockwise, the boost will go up to 36 psi. I will go and and drive it and see if I can do more testing with it, but with the numbers it will probably be obvious, the smoke switch will work better at 36 psi then 23 psi.
