My exhaust brake is staying on all the time without me having to turn it on. It never was like that til yesterday.I like it being on all the time but wondering if there is a problem somewhere.

 

i never had it happen before. but have a buddy his does and i think diesel pap said hes does it from time to time. i was thinking the turbo needs cleaned. but others i have talked to think its the electronics. but a silver 66 will solve your problem

 

I have no clue why its staying on, I wouldn't think the turbo would be sooted up tho.

 

I had the same problem on my 2007.5 6.7L in 08. The dealer did some kind of ecm reprogram and it never happened again. This problem is definately electrical and not machanical and can be corrected by the dealer or someone with a programer.

 

The new update for the H and S tuners, the exhaust brake will stay on all the time til you turn it off.
