oil...
My main fear is engine problems.....other than that i can handle the rest of the truck. There isnt much i havent destryed on a dodge truck but never any engine probs on a 5.9. I hope a 6.7 can be as reliable
I run a Oil Field service company and we have 3 08 Dodge 2500 and they run about 1,000 to 1,500 miles a week. Pulling eq ranging from light weight to almost needing a CDL to pull the trailer. And 2 of the trucks are around 172,000 and 1 of them is at 198,000 miles. And the only problems I have had out of them is the Trans at 120K on just about all of them. So I'm going to say that the 6.7 is doing a Fine Job!!
I had asked the same question, and my understanding is that when the truck goes to regen it sends so much extre fuel into the cylinders to create more heat that it will seep into the case. my dad has the same problem and he took it to dodge...3 times, all theyve been able to do is put different flashes in.
