Worked on it friday nite and found hose clamp on air intake to turbo loose but doubt it was that. Pulled cover off of air filter and it was cavitated. Appears it had been damaged and they didnt know it. I put a new one in it and could instantly tell the difference. There is a *** chewing coming for the "there is no CEL on" mechanics at the dealership come monday.

Default mechanics

good mechanic is worth their weight in gold and black diesel. I went thru three at the dealership, finally got the old timer from the old Kenworth shop that closed now working for the dealership. Took him 10 minutes to fix the problems, two of which the other mechs had performed on truck and done wrong. If anybody else touches the truck I don't pay them. The mech is opening his own shop next month and a whole lotta dealership biz moving with him.
