Default best engine oil out there for 6.7

i tried to search but came up empty.looking for a good brand oil for 6.7.want something that doesnt breakdown easy.thinking of going with amsoil.anyone tried royal purple?i tend to go over sometimes on my oil changes by 3 to 4000 at times and scared to hurt it.i run hot shot and been very busy lately and cant get to the dealer to get it done sometimes so just seeing whats out there.

i run royal purple in my 08. i know amsoil is good oil too. if you still have the dpf and egr i wouldnt try it. before i got my deletes i had to change about every 3k to get the diesel out of it.

i was going to buy royal purple but guy at auto parts was aying amsoil is better u can go 25,000 miles on a oil change which i doubt.but maybe.truck is all stock.imy clutch on its way out so as soon as i find i good clutch im going put a buy a programmer for it.

amsoil is good. i go 10k with my truck but i change the filter at 5k.

Mines not a 6.7 but I run Mobil Delvac and we get the 55 gal drum from the local fleet here in town and they swear by it.

i know my truck has made as much as 3/4 gal. of oil which was diesel from the dpf junk.

i was just trying to see how many miles it breaks down and starts build up.i hate running over on oil changes.i change fuel filter every oil change and its done at dealer.

not now but it did. it was diesel getting in the crank case. google (making oil on 6.7 dodge)

I would say anything that has a Cummins "C" on it and is DPF compliant (if it has DPF still on). I have a buddy with a new 2010 Cummins and he runs Mobil 1. I run Rotella have for years as well as my old man. I have 170,000 on mine he has 410,000 on his 12v.
