I use Mobil 1 Turbo for diesel trucks. Blackstone labs ran a report on 10,000 miles and said I should try 12,000 next time. I have 30,000 on my 2500 4x4

Ive got the same problem of making oil. 2 qts in 500 miles. No mods yet but am considering them. I dont think they would puposly build an engine this way and there should be an explanation. anyone fix 1 yet. 2008 6.7L 30K

I use Valvoline's Premium Blue 15/40 and wix filters works out good for me. I go for about 7500 mile oil changes.

Good Luck

you didn't mention if you were running synthetic or conventional oil. Whatever the case don't switch between them. It'll start using oil. I use delo 400le and I change between 8-10000 miles.

I run Schaeffer Supreme 7000, its full synthetic, pretty reasonably priced, they say you can run it up to 15K as long as you change the filter about half way through the cycle. Only problem is it is kind of hard to find.

All Mobil 1 oil products is a synthetic oil, I am using Mobil 1 for Turbo Trucks, not having any issues. I will test oil @ 12,000 miles maybe able to go more. I will change filter @ 6,000 and add a qt or what ever is needed.

I've always run Rotella T but the guys at the John Deere shop got me using John Deere oil. The Rotella had a ton of build up in it and the John Deere oil was clean as a whistle.

The Delo 400le is a synthetic blend from what I've been told.

I will probably be switching to the rotella sythetic 5-40w (It's very cheap at Wally World) and will continue to run Lucas oil stabilizer in between my oil changes.
