Yeah. I am on the fence with this one. Am gonna call my dealer and see what they say. Got my letter for my 09 today. But I Beta tested BullyDogs chip for them so am pretty much in the no goin back unless it gets tragic stage. Will pull it all out and bake it if I have too but am fairly certain this does not apply to my unit it is DPF burning every other day. Annoying Sum Bit...... But it has been that way since I got it. If I force A burn off it gets me A extra couple days but is just A pain in the *** over all. I will let y'all know what I find out.

you are fortunate to not have problems.leave it alone..once its to a dealer, there programming i think messes it up.had j35 flash tuesday and still just as smoky which is what the flash is to prevent. started having dpf problems with mine first week i owned it and at 28000 new exhaust put on.about once a month cat fills up and to dealer it goes except last time at 40,000.its now gone 10,000 with no cat filling up but a heck of alot of smoke.

I had no codes or any problems with mine but still took it in for the recall and it's still running just fine(it's all stock) all my money goes to payments.

Default the emissions warranty

I believe the emissions warranty runs quite a ways, just don't know the actual numbers these days. That goes for the powertrain warranty as well.

the warranty is for 5yrs/100k as per your warranty book that came with your truck

I went and talked to my dealer. And they don't care if I do it or not. Told them that I have not had any of the problems that this is supposed to fix. So if it ain't broke don't fix it till it is. Will take it in if it does start having problems. But I ain't just for the hell of it.

I know this is an old thread, but today is my first day, so here goes. I had the J-35 done to my truck last month and I am pleased with the results. My mileage is up 1 to 2 mpg (depends on how I'm driving). My overhead has proven to be very accurate on mileage (less than .2 mpg error over a thousand mile trip). My son just made a trip from SC to the Fla. Keys towing a 26 ft boat with dual 150's and got 12.5. Sold the boat down there and got 17.5 mpg coming back @ 80 mph on I 95. YMMV
