Default Is it posssible that I don't have a block heater?

I apologize for my ignorance, but I just bought my first diesel, a '13 Ram 2500 with the 6.7. The dealer knows absolutely nothing about diesels, they couldn't even tell me what my DEF gauge was for (I now know). Anyway, I can't find anything on the window sticker about a block heater, and am wondering if I'm going to need one as I live in Illinois and it gets pretty cold here in the Winter! Any help you could give me would be much appreciated. I've got a million questions already like how do I use/turn on my engine brake, etc...

you should have the heater installed already. all your missing is the cord. look really close on the passenger side of the block under the exhaust manifold and such. don't buy from dodge get on ebay and order off of there about 10 or 15 bucks

I purchase it from ebay at very low prices. Even I used coupons for having additional offers on it that put the price much lower than actual rate.

I purchased a new 2012 3 months ago and the cord was wound up really small and tucked inside the bumper opening on the right side. I missed it the first couple times I looked for it because everything is black and the cord blended right in.

I live in Chicago and I have never used the block heater on mine. If your close maybe we can meet and chat. I've got a 2011 3500 and my brother-in-law just bought a 2012 2500.
