Clutch Pedal releases on the floor
I have a 2011 Dodge RAM 3500, 6 speed M/T, G56 trans, 6.7 diesel, 4x4, 150000 miles, used to run hot shot. I just replaced the clutch with a stock replacement from AutoZone. 13" dia clutch that came with throughout bearing, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate. The unit came assembled and said to install it just like that do not take it apart. Clutch install went smooth. Also replaced the clutch master / slave cylinder and bleed the system. The clutch lines look okay. The issue is the clutch pedal goes to the floor and is a little soft but the main issue is it will activate about 1/2 inch from the floor and it is hard to get the truck into 1st or reverse. 2nd gear is doable and the rest of the gears shift just fine. A few times I could not get the truck into first gear or reverse at all. This issue was the reason I replaced the clutch because it was going to the floor and would not shift at all. It almost feels like the clutch is not fully engaging / disengaging. I don't smell any clutch burn and it is not getting hot. I can put it in 1st gear and start the truck and it does not jump forward.

it is hard to put them clutch hydro systems together you basicly have to submerge it completely in fluid and pump it till no bubbles then put the system together in the fluid they are a sealed system and you cant bleed them sounds like your hydros have air in them or are shot i have my stock set from my 08 that are good i bet there are the same if your intrested

So are you saying that air in the system would cause the pedal to release closer to the floor? I would think that air in the system would only cause the clutch to feel soft. I would think that it is a mechanical issue because the clutch is not working properly. I will try your idea and see if it works. Any other ideas why the clutch is releasing 1/2 inch from the floor.

I have put this post in the wrong area. Anyone know how I can close this post or remove it? I am new to this stuff.

Okay I got system bleed and drove truck last night it was shifting perfect and everything was great. Drove it 10 minutes last night. Got in it this morning and drove 30 minutes and when I stopped I could not shift into reverse, first, or second. the clutch pedal feels good and seems to be working in the normal position. I am lost on issue and I have spent all of my money on the clutch, master, and slave cylinder so I can't afford to take it to a dealer. Any advice.
Coors Man is your master/slave cylinder a factory replacement? Does it have a bleeder screw?
