Best tuner for 6.4
#21
Hey,
Many people think that, but click on the link provided to H&S Performance site. Read under DPF Selection first Paragraph. You have the option to tune DPF Present or DPF Removed.
Hope that helps,
Joe

Just something else to think about...
Spartans 310 tune, has proven to be faster at the track than the 350 tune.... Hmmm?
You can get DPF on tunes from pretty much any of them last I knew... who care's? Why would you even want to do that, you're going to be plugging that DPF a lot faster.
Ask yourself this question... who's tunes are being used on those 1000+ rwhp fuel only 6.4's??????

I feel much safer driving my truck knowing I am not going to have it shut down while driving because a sensor reads the wrong tempature while my exhaust filter is cleaning. I sat for 5 hours once in the middle of nowhere waiting for a tow truck to show up. I was happy to get my DPF deleted.

Ok I have read alot of "Opinions" here regarding who has the best programmers and delete kits, However can anyone direct me to a web site that would be like "Consumer Reports" that has actually tested all of these different tuners with specs and information for what Tune is needed for the particular application to be used for (ie daily driver, towing a camper etc)...

This consumer reports thing you're looking for is the forums man. Try reading on some of the bigger powerstroke forums, you'll have a lot more opinions and in some cases some dyno runs, track times etc.
The main programmers used for 6.4's are:
H&S products (usually for the guy who's only planning on doing a delete/intake/programmer) (Mike @ KEM can probably custom tune these too, he knows his stuff)
SCT
Spartan (SCT and Spartan are used on a lot of high end build trucks. Once you get an SCT you still have options for who is tuning, but most use Eric @ Innovative Diesel)

boost problems
i have a 09 6.4 with an AFE stage 2 intake and a bully dog turner, stock exhaust, i am loosing boost pressure once the truck warms up, i have checked all clamps and fittings from the intake and everything is sealed. i have checked all Defueling levels on the turner and everything is in line and not reached. i pull pressure and then it drops pulls then drops, i have not cleaned my filter yet (today will be done) but am unsure if that is the problem. any ideas? before i bring it to ford!
