Default 98 Chevy 2500 6.5 Diesel

I know this isn't the show and tell section but felt the aftermarket 6.5 thread would be a good place to put a mostly aftermarket and modified 6.5 diesel. It is a runner for sure I will take more pictures of the engine, intercooler and turbo set up, and other odds and ends tomorrow or the next. The guy I bought it from did most of the work.

Short block: 6.5 Peninsular Diesel 18:1 compression 50k miles
Intake manifold: Peninsular
Turbo: was off a Cummins diesel and can push 20+ PSI
Air Intake: Custom cold air intake box with K&N filter (PMD is relocated in the box as well)
Inter-cooler: 4" thick front mount XS inter-cooler piped through fenders
Computer: reprogrammed for optimal performance
Exhaust: 3.5" down-pipe to 4" all the way back
Driveshaft looks like it is aftermarket as well. It is HUGE.
1 ton rear end with LSD
Remanufactured GM 480Le 20K miles
Gauge pillar with EGT, Trans Temp, and Boost
It also has a switch to keep the glow plugs on longer if you want. Maybe you all can clear up why exactly this is needed.
The only other aftermarket stuff is two Exide/Orbital batteries, 2.5" lift (Keys front/blocks rear), fender flares and newer GM wheels.

I am new to diesels but not to auto mechanics. I graduated from Wyoming Tech and have worked on anything that has a gas engine but never worked on diesels. I am open to any info/suggestions you all are willing to give. My first few projects were/are:
new bed-liner, wrapping the down pipe/exhaust, hood insulating liner, Flo Pro Max muffler (straight through design), and other sound deadening projects. I just ordered Opti-Lube XPD after reading a valuable thread on what additives actually help. I have always been a big Lucas fan with my gas vehicles but Lucas didn't do so hot in the tests provided in the thread.
Here are some pictures. If you look closely you can see the intercooler piping in the wheel well. The last two are the Flo Pro Max Muffler.

Default Aftermarket/modified

I snapped off some pictures of the intercooler set up, the engine, and my new "legal" exhaust. Some of the things you will see are a custom intake, a peninsular intake manifold, and the Holset turbo. I also had to get a shorter serpentine belt, 99.5", due to the missing smog pump. I plan on wrapping the down pipe next. The heater hoses are almost touching it.

I had the pics up as images but now they are gone. So I reattached them to this reply as thumbnails and images.

Updates....Truck is sold. I found oil in the coolant and sold it for half of what I paid for it. I didn't have time to fix it nor did I want to. Unfortunately, this experience with a diesel drove me back to the simplicity of a 350 tbi chevy.

The intercooler was 4" thick! It was made by XS and can be bought on ebay. I am not sure how wide or how long it was.
