Q's about setting timing

i would go to that guy and get him to test your injectors and time your pump. if your wastegate is tight your getting air its just either fuel is being injected at the wrong time or your injectors are pissing fuel.

i run a program that is injecting 40% more fuel than your truck is getting with the stock tune and i would pass that test with flying colors. dont go back to testing until the truck only smokes when you first step on it and the turbo hasnt spooled yet.

I think that's what its come down to, was trying to save money, all I put into this is money from my rock crawler fund, but thats what I should expect for picking this thing up for so cheap

Well, i have an appointment to drop it off at Bakers Diesel injection tomorrow to check timing and such... we'll see how that goes

So... take it to Bakers diesel had timing set ( was at 2.01 they set it to -1.67 ) ran like a champ on the way home, more power less smoke I was all excited driving it around... until i stopped fueled it up and now it wont start, how do i test the pmd to see if that is the problem?

Thanks crazy for the link, checked lift pump found good, checked for codes none... bit the bullet went back to bakers picked up a new D-Tech pmd and relocation bracket and installed, she fired right up, the thing runs good now, let's just see how this round of testing goes

Well, i passed (I cheated though- i had it done in another county obd2 test) but she definately runs stronger and cleaner, towed my duster with it today and hardly noticed it was there.
