Default 14 Bolt Disk Brake Swap

http://www.tsmmfg.com/2630.htm

i plan on doing this swap onto my suburban when i got to do the brakes, cheaper, lighter, less maintenance, easier than doing a actual brake job on drums.

Default Looks like a great plan...

Are you going to be installing it on the 14-bolt FF or SF axle?? The site didn't specify which one their kit was made for, either...something to check before you buy; I HATE getting the wrong parts in...LOL

Let us know how it goes...I'm planning on doing one myself once I get home from the great sandbox.

They have a good kit. I put one on my 79 that I converted to 3/4 ton axles.

Kert at www.diy4x.com has some nice kits, too.

i replaced a wheel cylinder on the back of the 'Burb a few days ago and low and behold its a semi floater with 4.10's, i was under the impression all diesel and big block 3/4 and 1 ton vehicles got a full floater, it has the factory build sheet, im going to try and find a full floater with 3.73's before i do the swap......

Good call. I love the 14bolt FF's. They are fairly plentiful up here. Haven't found too many w/3.73's. I do have one w/3.23's. In a 76 GMC 2WD w/a 454.

ooohhhh id like that even better, once i find a 4L80E out of a early 90's diesel van, they have the stand alone computers and they are a turbo 400 with an overdrive unit....with the overdrive and airplane gears it would get well above 20 mpg.....heck even a NV4500 and a set of 3.23's.......
