the most specific directions you can get for turning up the pump are from the banks website. You can download the owners manual for the turbo, and in that, they tell exactly how step by step. (and just for reference...if you plan on turning up the pump while it is on the truck, it is alot easier to go from the top of the pump I did it a couple of weeks ago for the first time by myself, and if you follow the directions from the website you should be fine.) Default turning up the injector pump

Well I have turned the pump up on my 6.2 a few times an I have learned that you look at the screw like a clock an turn the screw clock wise start at 12 an turn it to 1on the clock scale an that is turning it 1 notch if you dnt have a turbo I wouldn't go more then 2 on the scale I have turbo all three inch tubing an a intercooler an I maxed out my pump at about 8 or 9 on the scale an still don't put out black smoke. An I adjusted it while in the truck its a lot less work then taking it out of the truck an adjusting it

Turning the fuel up on these can also cause your exhaust gas to run alot hotter, so don't get carried away =)

Old thread I know, I have a 85 6.2 in the works just want to know what I'm getting into. It needs a new injector pump. I'm quite familiar with the Ford IDI motors, do the 6.2 and 6.5 Chevy motors also use the same Stanadyne DB2 pump? If so, I'm guessing the fuel setting would have to be turned down a few flats from the 7.3 setting? I have a spare one for my IDI so I'm wondering if I can use it in this upcoming project. Please excuse my lack of knowledge, just barely getting into these older Detroit's
