Doesn't the AD2 return on itself? I wonder if you could plug the in line on the AD2 that is supposed to be coming from the factory bowl, and just run the out line like it is now to the fuel tank. Then the AD2 is just returning it's own fuel, like it really should be?

I'm just shooting from the hip, never had my hands on the AD2. My buddy however is running one and running directly to the heads, let me ask him how he did it.

Yes, that is correct, the ADII has a return line, and the pump itself is "self regulating" which means it functions on demand. So, if you have a return line from the stock fuel bowl it defeats the self regulating feature of the AirDog, and is unnecessarily redundant.

Jim, if you want to do away with the stock bowl and return line, after you run the "direct" fuel line from the AirDog, then you can remove the "tee" fitting supplied with the AirDog and just connect the AD return to the tank return.I think I saw somewhere a piece of quick fitting tube about 4 inches long that would replace the tee tubing. I'm not sure exactly what diameter the return line is, but a quick call to the parts department should get you the answer.

Big tow bill last time

Sure, let me see if I can get these diagrams to show...

Well, I got one to show, but it's gigantic, maybe someone can resize it for me. The other on is with the stock fuel bowl still on the engine. Let me know if you want me to try to post it also.

What exactly failed that caused you to incur the tow bill?

The AD2 pumps have been failing left and right lately... the motors just burn up. This is not the first time I've seen this.

Thanks for the diagram Jack! perfect!

Sad

I can not believe the air dog two fuel pump kicked the bucket again

I am on my forth pump less than three years

the pressure started to go down...from 60 to 40 psi

then took out the 15 amp fuse...

put a new fuse in ....fuse blew again...

Why is the pump keep failing

I changed both filters after 30,000 miles like they said..

i had to get it towed again - 20 C in saskatchewan moosein to a ford dealer

i know they had design problems with old pump ......just changed again in August...

They have a brand new pump designed now..( after August) ..i am getting a new one ....haha

UPS tomorrow ....this is frustrating...forth pump

i even turned the pressure all the way down...still blew the fusehttps://www.dieselbombers.com/images/icons/sad.png
