Default air dog two kit for 2005

I can not believe the air dog two fuel pump kicked the bucket again

I am on my second pump less than two years

the pressure started to go down...from 60 to 40 psi

then took out the 15 amp fuse...

put a new fuse in ....fuse blew again...

Why is the pump keep failing

I changed both filters after 30,000 miles like they said...

I thought about putting one of these on my truck but , felt safer running stock unit with an extra lift pump to feed it...At least i can still get home if aftermaket unit dies.

I am running a xdp sump 1/2 " line to a ppe 12 psi lift pump 3/8 line to stock pump. It works great! even with IDP extreme tunes. runs 68psi idle and 54-58 wot under load.

They seem hit and miss, some guys run them with no issues and others have issues like Jim is having here. (assuming Jim is your name here... ).

Tough call. How is AD handling it? I've heard their customer service is really good. Maybe try changing the fuel filters earlier instead? How many miles have you put on each pump? You say changes are at 30k, how many miles are you driving this thing?

Have you bypassed the factory fuel bowl or are you still feeding there? What is your regulator set at on the pump? Maybe it's fighting itself against the factory regulator?

In all the time i've been on diesel boards, i've never heard of a 6.0L fuel pump taking a dump.

That's the main reason i'm using the stock pump for my cummins swap.

They don't blow too often tho. There's a few guys that use these pumps in the 98 to 02 dodge cummins.

They're a pretty stout factory pump.
