I moved my SCT(Unlocked) to a newer truck and am having issues with an X3, after uploading canned tune truck will not fire/crank. I returned it to stock and still nothing, it does not seem able to read the strategy. I called SCT but they are closed for the weekend and would really like to have the truck running; anyone resolve this issue with theirs?

Still doesn't crank at all? You may need to have them send you a stock tune. Did your SCT say anything about saving the stock file when you started uploading the tune?

 

Nope won't even click when keyed, when I jump the starter solenoid if will fire right up but all the warning indicators light up and the mileage indicates _____-____ KM so somethings up. Programmer saved the stock file but when returned to stock I get the same results,must have corrupted the file. I have tried several times an unable to read the strategy when stock program is loaded.

 

Definitely sounds corrupted. Did you happen to do an update to the SCT when the truck was tuned, because that would erase the stock file?

You're going to have to call SCT on this one I'm almost certain. Try calling Eric @ Innovative diesel and see what he says, he may have a stock tune he can send you.

 

Played with it again and found that all canned tunes are able to read codes and find the strategy. When put to stock program is unable to read codes or strategy; I think it married portions of the stock strategy into the three tunes causing the problem. Still will not turn over on any of them. I updated after returning to stock which may have been the problem, I should have updated this thing first before starting anything.... Thanks for the input, I will start with SCT Monday & then move on to Innovative.

 

Well I'm back up running. Tuner ate my stock strategy, SCT was helpful they built a new one and had it back in the next day Service was not bad but getting hold of them can be a little painful. I have not tried to load any of the old tunes yet, decided to have innovative build some for me I am now anxiously waiting for the "email".
