Why go smaller then stock? I bet it would sound kinds high pitched. BTW my 5in exhaust came in today so hopefully I'll have time to put it on tmrw. Also, i ordered a 7in tip for it, not sure how its gonna look cuz its freakin huge, but when i slid it on the current exhaust it didnt look that big next to my truck.

I gotta tell you, it sounds pretty damn good. at idle, you can't tell any difference, but when you put your foot in it, it sounds sweet. I know i'm giving up power by not adding a larger system, but it's a cost thang. I had a local muffler shop do the work because i don't have a welder, but the whole thing start to finish cost sixty bucks. Good enough for me for now. I'll still go with the 4 inch from the turbo back when i get the money, but for now, at least it sounds good! (still hoping to win the contest!)

why didnt you just leave it 3.5 in pipe? Put my 5in in today. Cut it down so it comes in front of the tire, and it sounds awsome. Outside almost seems quieter then stock str8 when you get on it but deeper. Since its in front of the tire, it is louder inside. Dont have the tip on yet since i still have to paint it and there is some adjusting to do since it sounds like its rubbing somewhere.

I have a MBRP exhaust on my truck. I'm curious to know if ya'll have had trouble with the factory clamps halfway down the drop pipe not staying tight. I've had to weld mine from it rattling under the truck.
