Default Anyone know?

Anyone know what size the stock downtube is for a 2006 6.0?

Also, I'm thinking of going with either:

the MBRP 4" Turbo Back Exhaust w/ Muffler Delete and no CAT, or,

the MBRP 4" CAT Back, or,

just straight straight pipe from the CAT back. (mostly because of cost)

Opinions on this are welcome.

Sorry to highjack this thread but it has to do with the same thing. Can i just cut my stock exhaust and delete everything from the cat back and still be ok or willit throw a CEL.

By the way Frigger...everyone says to just do a straight pipe back from the turbo with 4". MBRP is what most use. I would love to do this too but I am broke as a joke right now.

Drop the cat and listen to the whine.

This is a short clip of the MBRP exhaust that I won from a giveaway from this verry AWESOME site not too long ago. It could just happen for you. Good Luck!!

So can I just cut everything from the cat all the way back or is that a bad thing?

your factory DP is 3", if you get a 4" turbo back kit it will come with a 3.5"DP and bellow out to a 4" at the bottom. you can get a 4" DP but ive heard it is a very tight fit. as mentioned earlier straight piped 6.0's sound sick. so unless u live somewhere that does emission checks id have nothing but pipe under the truck

Sorry I should have been more detailed. What I was thinking was to just cut the cat and muff out of the exhaust system and leave it like that. No piping beyond. So all I would have is the down pipe and whatever piping that there is from that point to the cat.

ya you could do that but it would be ungodly loud in your cab, and you will cover the underneath of your truck with soot.. if money is tight just cut out the cat and muffler and run flex pipe till you can afford a new exhaust system.
