IF you aren't any where near 500HP the one you have is great. If you are looking to make the filter changing easier, then I would personally stay with the dry filter set ups. It is typically very easy to over oil and end up with more oil in your turbo, cac boots and inter cooler than you already get from the CCV.

A good thing to do to help get cooler air into the intake is the old Zoodad mod.

I noticed about a 50* drop in my EGT's when towing after doing this.

and with my grill gutterguard mod I keep the bugs and small children from getting sucked in:

Hey YMMOT/Tom

I'm interested in doing the Zoodad mod on my truck and I like the grill on the front of your truck. Where did you pick it up at? Also, I'm going to keep the filtration stock, but are there any tips or secrets I need to know about? Just don't want to ingest a buzzard nor a river.

Thanks in advance,
deucer

Once a hard pass sucks your air filter minder into the "Replace Air Filter" zone and turns the check air filter light on in your truck with a fresh stock Donaldson filter, it's time to upgrade. Aside from that, the stock unit flows more than enough air.
