I checked this myth using my SCT that will datalog the IAT readings.
Only increase in intake temps are when you are at a stop, after 10MPH you pull the outside air. The IAT temps increase maybe 10*F when you are sitting still.

 

thats what i was gettin to if you do it daily it would be easy but for someone who doesnt its a PITA..

 

my dads got an s&b and it makes a big difference. i saw them for about 250 i think
