I was just talking to my wife about that same thing! I am hoping that my only issue is the ipr valve but... What caused it to fail in the first place? It was deffinatly mostly carbon looking but there is no longer an egr or egr cooler so where did it come from? Heads where very clean. Maybe something got knocked loose on the install of the bottom end? I didn't get a chance to see it. Everything on the screen was nonmetallic and sticking a magnet past the cam into the bottom of the oil pan didnt find me much except more soot. An ipr and slapping everything back together and she seems ready to go. Tomorrow will be a quick tip down the freeway then change the oil quick take a peek at the ipr screen and back on the road to home in pa! Thanks for all the help and for the guys at the shop letting me work on my own truck!
