Well with your attitude I wouldn't be surprised to read a post in the future about how a REAL diesel enthusiast yanked you out of your truck for smoking out his family and beats your head through your windshield. Not talking trash it's just realistic when your young and dumb like we have all been till we pulled our heads out.

Not slamming you just stating that smoking out someones family makes you a d-bag not a tough guy, and real diesel enthusiast realize smoke gets more emissions regulations against diesels. Plus it makes it look like you can't tune your own truck.

You're going to have a rough start on the site with the coal rolling comment, but you seem decently smart, or at least can spell, which is more than most youngsters these days.

300rwhp should be pretty easy, I made 301 with a converter, intake, exhaust, and Dynomite Diesel injectors. Avoid POD injectors if you still want fuel mileage, they'll make power, but they like to suck fuel too.

I understand. Can we just get back to helping each other master diesel performance?

Understand this genius:

You're not the 1st to come to a diesel related site such as this with these questions. Why should we rewrite what has already been written?

Do a search of these and other diesel related forums and READ the stickies as is found in most. There you will find the answers to your questions. Plain and simple.

If all you are wanting is 300 hp, then it's a piece of cake.

"I understand the clean smoke thing but dont really care."

That's the most troublesome part. You want high mileage, but don't care and apparently want additional smoke. Sir, those are contradictions.

A lot of smoke does NOT mean your engine is powerful. Period.

Smoke is unburnt fuel. How do you expect high mileage with fuel going out the exhaust?
This world does not revolve around you. As has been said above, the little kiddies (young and old) darkening the Sun at intersections is drawing the attention of the tree-huggers, and more importantly, those who dictate environmental law. If folks keep indiscriminately blowing smoke, there'll soon be laws effectively banning such smoke blowing vehicles. In fact, such is already in motion. That means I've got to eventually park MY mess! All because some ignorant person thinks they look cool in the eyes of an equally ignorant buddy or worse, some silly chick who most likely isn't gonna get off it anyway.

I've owned my truck longer than you've been alive.

The last five or so years, I've read and paid attention to those in these and other fine diesel sites, learning what it takes to make a 6400lb cinder-block on 33"s run the quarter mile in under 12.7 seconds. All while keeping the smoke to an absolute minimum. It's a regular thing for me to go to the local 1/8th mile track on a Thursday night, and stomp the **** out of 95% of the street cars and trucks that line up with me.
Then turn around and drive it to the beach the following Friday.

It's reliable transportation.
It puts almost 500hp to the ground.
It gets well over 18mpg on the highway.

That, my friend is cool.

Keep blowing smoke, and you'll have to park your mess.
