Default twin turbo supercharged...

would it be possible to run a supercharger like a procharger pushing into the top turbo on a set of twins. if so then you should be able to run a much bigger top turbo and still have no problems with spool. Just trying to roll around some ideas and get everybody thinking. my biggest question about the idea is if the supercharger would be more of a burden to the turbos and not let them pull enough air through them once they lit. Let me know what you think.

Twincharging. im new to diesels but if its only the concept it should work. i know twincharging has no "turbolag" because youre constantly getting boost at all rpms. my buddies mustang is turbo'd and supercharged. it flies

you wouldnt need the top charger. the super would take the place of it to make instant boost while the engine creates enough gasses to spin the large single. the supercharger would really need to be set up with a clutch so that it could be disingaged after it creates X boost and allow the big single to take over with boost responsibilities. it would be a BAD *** set up. there would be no turbo lag just instant power. you could poor the fuel to the engine and get very little black smoke and EGT's because of the instand positive intake pressure and the large amount of air being force fed through the engine. the key to making a systerm like this -in my mind- would be to figure out how to electronically turning on and bypassing the supercharger when the big single takes over.

Personally, I'd run a little laggy top turbo on top of a large charger, say... Something around an aurora 4000 over 5000 pushing into the super charger. Something you might see in a pulling set up, fed into the supercharger. The supercharger should "ideally" pick up the slack until the 4000 lights. Although an S300 over an S400 or 475 with a supercharger to eliminate all lag of the S300 although minimal would be ridiculous.

i know of a duramax and a powerstroke that run a supercharger on top of a bigger turbo, they have like zero lag. i do not know the specs, i would have to go find the mags haha. also i have a company bookmarked that uses a mp80 blower mounted off to the side of our cummins motors over top of a large turbo. its supposed to have like zero lag, the blower has a bypass that opens once the big turbo lights up.
