Sled pulling
If you want cheap and redneck weights... get a couple 55gal plastic or steel drums and fill them with water. Instant 500 lbs you dont have to store move around or trip over when your done
I plan on having a blast, thanks for the invite Tony; unfortunately my work has moved me to northern PA so I'm now more like...7 hours from the pull. Bobby I'll make a hitch if I pull my class 3 out from under the truck
. I have a big 3x4" D ring with a 3/4 pin along with a solid 2" receiver. Unfortunately that's going to put the hook point atleast 10 inches
Behind the bumper. Still weight-less... Asked a guy today if he had any tractor weights. And he said to use 55 gallon drums full of water. I don't even know where I'd find any 55 gallon drums at this point
. The pull is the 26th and I still have to extend and rebuild my front driveshaft, make my traction bars, and start building/framing my bumper.

I would make the traction bars and suspension stops if possible, If not, traction bars. And keep you hitch height as high as teh class allows. remember... Its easier to carry a weight then drag it...
Yeah, I plan on it. Still not going to go anywhere with only one wheel in the back spinning. Lol gotta get the front driveshaft lengthened and rear spiders welded up and pray nothing comes apart

2x1" rectangular steer 1/8" wall. Drilled through and welded in a sleeve for crush/pull resistance. The ball joint was a weld on joint from tractor supply for the 3 point arms on a tractor and I took a piece of 1/2 wide band steel and wrapped it around the ball joint for reinforcement. I don't think I'll have to worry about anything pulling apart.
