That sounds like something that would bond them together permanently. Hopefully Smokem will chime back in on this. I think to do my compression check i'll replace the seals for the injectors and then see how she does from there, obviously I'm loosing compression from there so the leak-down test will be more accurate.

If you are going to disassemble them to seal the sleeve nuts, you might as well have the opening pressures reset, I use Caterpillar sealant.

We are talking about between the retaining nut for the injector and the injector.

And Smokem, what am i lookin at cost wise to have the pressures reset. Am I better off mailing them out to a dependable person or is it easy enough the maybe have one of these Joe's around here do it?

While I'm doing the injectors I'm going to go ahead and put 1/2" fuel lines on this thing, is 1, 10 micron in line filter good enough for my truck? Where are u guys getting your filter heads from? I can get one for a transfer pump locally from TSC but the inlets are 1". Or should I keep the stock one on too?

I use the anerobic sealant on the sleeve nut that holds the nozzle to the body, often this area will leak fuel which is often taken as a leaking return. This has solved 90% of all leaking issues commonly found in the 12v side of things.

Smokem, I want to pull the injectors and get them all tested. What would I be lookin at for cost to have these cleaned up and tested? From what I understand with performance injectors they smooth out the idle and run a lot better and improve mileage. Is there some work I could get done to these to accomplish basically the same thing without having as high of a cost as new injectors?

When the truck gets put back together,

hx35
4" exhaust
M&H fuel pin
3200 gov spring
BHAF

The truck is an auto, going to put in a tqconverter and shift kit.

Goal with the truck is to get best balance between mileage and power and keeping the motor as dependable as possible. I will pull on occasion and I do have a heavy foot sometimes and like to tease people a lot, so I don't need a race car but still want it to have the git-up-and-go.
