mine had 190,000 on it went the turbo went out. and the cummins are known for oil leaks and whatnot. mine leaked really bad. and when i got the head gasket kit it came with all of the new gaskets and everything. i got the fel pro set from napa. but if you have it all the way down just do a complete gasket set (oil pan, timing cover, front and rear main, etc)
i think it cost me like 400 for all the gaskets it was pricey

Well i'm going to start out with a compression check. If the #'s look real good I might not take the head off. But I will for sure do the oil pan and the front cover and locktite the bolts. I have to do a pump reseal also, the governor shaft seal leaks pretty heavily on warm up and cool down.

thats funny about the oil leaks mine doesn't leak oil bad at all...... as for the gov shaft now thats a different story, just got the seal kit thinking about putting it on the pump this weekend, as for the injector leak, just snig the nut up. should stop the leak

It;s not leaking from the top nut. It is leaking from the nut that holds the injector into the head. When it is warming up I can actually see little air bubbles in the fuel, which would be my compression leaking out of there. Once I look into things a little more I might just have the injectors sent out and be worked rather than buy new ones.
