I had a set of stock non I/C injectors 4x0.014" that had 3 additional holes EDMed on the same incline and hone, they were terrible. A higher hole count with smaller orifices is not always the best option, if ever.

why just 3 extra holes? wouldn't that have a very unbalanced spray into the bowl?

maybe we just need some 3x.035's

why not get crazy and run 3 smaller holes and 2 larger holes? gotta think outside of the box right?

They were a 4-hole nozzle to begin with, I had 3-holes added, which made them a 7x0.014", like you mentioned. Like I said before, more is not always better.

It was not a personal attack, but the truth. The fact is you know nothing of the amount of effort or time that is involved in developing a new product for the aftermarket. You know nothing of the design process, or the companies in which country that have the ability or timeframe. Therefore you are skeptical, which you are entitled to being, but at the same time is redundant.

so a symmetrical spray pattern is not critical? I would think it is for an even burn in the cylinder.

I've seen advertised nozzles with a 10 hole pattern before, saying that is no good?

I think it would be fun to pit a 4 hole injector against an 8 hole injector with the actual flow between both being even, I am willing to bet the 8 would run better.

edit: if I could make it happen I would just to shut myself up but I can't so I won't

The 10-11-hole nozzles that I have seen, have been the worst performing to date.

Interesting.

I would think that it would be quite the opposite!

Than again I'm the kinda guy that would get bored with circles and start making squares or stars or smiley face looking holes just because.. prolly a good thing I don't have money to spare

So, this has peaked my interest a bit much since it seems to fly in the face of my common sense so i'm getting some fluid dynamic modeling software to play with, if I figure it out your all in trouble! haha

Power output is directly related to the pattern/bowl configuration and nozzle type rather than hole count.
