Default What Cam To Use?

Guys, I'm undecided on what cam to put in the 03 cummins "Fodge" project. The helix 2 looks great, but with the cam and required springs it's at $1500. The PDR cam is at $675 and claims the same results. What should I do?

I'd like to put one in the 06 as well witch has me leaning towards the cheaper route.

I have to decide pretty soon, the Fodge project is getting close to getting the engine in and I'd like to get the cam in while the motor is out.

I am running a F1 Helix cam, so I am biased.

I would think any cam with similar specs would require springs. But, I ran my first H2 without springs for many miles.

I don't know if the PDR cam is new or reground. The F1 cam is new.
