if you you have a auto get the trans temp over fuel pressure and I would recommend getting a airdog as well to get a good supply of fuel

yea and depending on what your plan on doing with the truck you could do a shift kit and a TC and be good for a while but... it depends on how you drive and wat you will be doing with the truck "drag racing, pulling, ect.."

everyone will have their own opinion but i have an 06 and im about like u just drive it everyday and tow here and there and im gonna put a shift kit in mine for now and a plus to that like with me i kno a tranny guy that has done a few 06's and said they came out great and i can have one put in my tranny for a fairly cheap price its defiantly not gonna make it indestructible but it should help it handle the power a little better

well im pretty new to the whole diesel thing myself but if i was you i would go with the edge at 1st as it has the guages and adjustability. plus the saftey features. and then i would go with the smarty. i know of people who run them together.
edge on 0 and smarty on desired level
edge on desired level and smarty on setting designed to be piggy backed.

im not sure how good this set up is for things but it is possable but then again i could just be realy stupid on this???

your defiantly not stupid and yes he could use the edge for just gauges but its usually not a good stack for the edge J/A and smarty, can you do it yes but if you do just run the smarty on even numbers because then it wont add timing but if you go running both of them with timing it could hurt the truck.

you could just update the smarty for free to the tnt tunes and get alot more power out of it. I have read were people have dynod there trucks with the stack ( edge J/A and smarty) and have lost power from stacking the 2

it is ok to stack the smarty with the Edge ez because the ez is a pressure box. but in the end if you bought a used edge lets say if its unlocked 400 then bought a smarty thats 685 you would have 1000 in it and plus the edge is good for gauges but they are not gonna be as good as mechanical gauges.

yes i know alot of people that stack the mp8 and smarty as the mp8 is a pressure box.

wouldnt you need alot of mods to upgrade to the tnt/r on the smarty. i know they always harp on needing extensive upgrades wich i can understand with there claimed 230+hp?
or would you need just about as many or the same if you were running both the edge and smarty stacked?

You can stack an edge and a smarty and make great power. Our sales manager is making over 733 rwhp with a edge smarty stack and thats with a single 66mm turbo
