Default Hot unlock for Edge.

Im thinking about getting the hot unlock code for the edge with attitude. Im not planning on running level six constanly, but just to have it for a few minuates on the fly. Any suggestions, warnings, or advice for me?

Just take it easy on your stock clutch.

Like he said. Your stock clutch won't like you. Also make sure you set the Max Boost setting to something like 38psi and keep an eye on EGT's. The HOT unlock will dump enough fuel to take the stock turbo to around 45psi, which is more than enough to make it go BANG! While 45psi sounds good, anything over 32 or so with the stocker is just going to be hot air that won't make any real power anyway.

BTW, unless Edge has changed something recently, the "HOT" upgrade doesn't add a level "6" on the 03-04 trucks like it does with the 04.5 and above models. It just re-calibrates all the levels, with number 5 being the full-on HOT setting. I usually keep mine set on level "3". After getting the HOT unlock, level 3 felt closer to level 4 and level 5 got right with the program!

i have a Voltair after market preformance clutch with brass springs.. think that will do? and i have the EDJ...... model where you have to mail it in for them to rewire everything. it isnt the "in monitor" model where you just enter the 4 digits.

I would think would be fine with that clutch. You have the same model Juice that I do. When you get it back, the silver sticker on the end will read EDJ-3000 HOT, along with a new version number.
