Do you guys think it will help keep egt any lower pulling on long mountain passes?

I figured I was going to get a stainless exhaust anyhow so might as well go 5" but if it is counter productive I will start looking at 4" systems.

a 5" wouldnt be counter productive....................its been proven that a 4" is plenty so anything more than that is just for fun I guess

Thanks if it doesn't really do much for performance I will probably just keep it 4 inch and upgrade to stainless and use the savings towards something else.

Heres a 5" - Its not 300 but Ive heard they are rather good.

MOTOBLUE 5-INCH STAINLESS STEEL HARD-CORE EXHAUST SYSTEM 94-07 DODGE CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL, all models, all wheelbases

Also look at the MBRP and Silverline stuff - top notch.
