stacks

I know so of you have seen these... but, I'll toss in my $.02. I agree with what's been said about how loud stacks are. I'm using a Aero muffler and I really don't think it did much. Don't get me wrong... I love the sound and it's not so bad you can't drive the truck. My 10yrs old daughter sits in the back and has no problem. In fact, she likes the way it sounds too.
I think though... to really get away from a lot of the noise, the stacks would need to be way above the cab and not just above it. Even then I doubt it would change much, after all they're right behind the window. GR makes them in several sizes and 36" is right above the cab by an inch or two. That seems to be the optimal height.
GR's stacks are aluminized but, for a little more protection I had all the plumbing Jet-Hotted inside and out.

Thanks. The clamps are custom made by a guy in California. If you're interested send me a PM and I'll give you the info. They aren't cheap but, they aren't overpriced either. With the amount of material and labor that goes into them they're a good deal.
