I'm really needing some upgrades for my transmission. I was just wondering what kind of prices yall had to pay to get your work done. I was just thinking about a torque converter and valve body. I'm not planning on going much farther, won't that hold me for awhile?

 

call a random shop, and labor will be like 2 grand for something like that. you gotta know people. i had my transmission rebuilt for a damn good price. But i don't post prices on open threads.

 

just had my converter taken out and put back in after it was fixed it cost 350 for the labor and the valve body shouldn't be that much they pull complete trans to change converter. valvebody was 425, converter 1000-1300, so just really depends on what the shop will charge to pull trans and change the valve body out. or if you have time and space you can do it. you can price quote this on here and get an idea of parts then get labor bids there could be people from the site close to you that can do this too.

 

yeah i would think 2k would be the going rate??? maybe i am not sure..all i know is it's alot less that my fully built tranny!!!!
