Lift pump questions
So I am learning about the Air Dog and I have a couple of questions...
One: If I cant see anything from the top of the tank to the fuel filter besides fuel hard lines then I have a in tank fuel pump correct? If this is true then I need to be looking at the kits with a in tanks fuel pump, right?
Two: As taken from the website "I daily drive my truck and it is only 300 horsepower. Will running an AirDog® 150 or AirDog® II 165 hurt anything?
No it will not hurt the pump. But it could cause you headaches down the road. Running way too much fuel to an injection pump that can't handle it can cause an increase in fuel pressure, which on some trucks could cause damage to that injection pump and possibly cause it to fail. Running a pump to fit your horsepower is suggested and will help keep you away from small potential issues." Can the VP44 take extra fuel pressure? I dont know what the 5.9 makes stock for HP but I dont want to underbuy a lift pump.

Airdog can't hurt your vp44 thats why it has a return line. Whoever wrote that pulled it straight out of their ***, most Airdog's are set to 16psi from pureflow and that is just right for the vp44. Whether your pump is in tank or on block Airdog will bypass it all, their kits come with a drawstraw 2 (I'm pretty sure) and you will even be able to remove stock fuel filter canister.
