Default So I installed the T/C lock-up switch...

I installed the T/C lock-up switch and it works and everything but my torque converter still unlocks when I give it alot of throttle. (like 35%ish+ it will unlock) What does this mean? Is there any way to fix this? The T/C locks up in all gears when I turn the switch, so I know it works.

That is odd that it unlocks. The relay has been taken out, and a jumper in its place, correct? Mine only locks in 3rd and O/D, but I have heard that some trucks will lock in all gears.

Only possible way it could lock in 1st and 2nd is if valve body has been modified... does it unlock or does it slip the converter? Like RAW said if you've got the jumper in place of the relay and that thing has constant 12v power it's not possible for it to unlock, you can literally stall the truck before it will unlock.

Raw: I put a jumper instead of my relay. Should i put the relay back in after or should i just make sure the connections from the jumper are very good?

And Empty_wallet: my T/C will lock up but it will go right to 3rd or o/d whenever i do it so say i start from a stop and get up to maybe 10 mph and flick the switch and it will shift to 3rd when the O/D is off and stall.

But The T/C will unlock if the jumper isnt properly connected?

Not sure about the unlocking that could be a tcc/lockup solenoid issue... never heard of that happening. Also weird it will shift right up to 3rd... whatever you do don't remove the jumper

Mine would do similar things. If I were to downshift at a light, then put it back in D when the light turns green, it would happen. The trans is shifting 1-2-3 so fast, that it goes into 3rd almost right away. Then it would lock up, it would grant and shake, and I'd flick the switch off immediately. Shorty following all that I feel like an idiot...again.

If the jumper isn't in there properly, it won't lock at all. If you put the relay in, and flick the switch, you will get a code. You will also be limited to 3rd, no t/c lock up.

So what would you guys say i should do? ill play around with the relay jump but if all else fails it will go back to stock because its not doing anything different besides being able to hold somewhat of a lock with no spool at low rpm and be able to watch smoke poop out of the stack

Empty_Wallet: what is a tcc selonoid? should i even bother getting one?

mine locks every gear i have a bd valve body not sure if that makes a difference and a billet torque convertor definitely helps out but that sounds weird mine wont ever come out if the switch is on
