So very true... Not only is its wasted HP but its wasted MONEY!

But if your looking for the smoke build for HP/TQ and the smoke will come... I promise! I'm turning 381/826 and I can leave a nice cloud if need be... But I normally run 4x4 on the Edge Comp and keep a light foot on the throttle...

But if you want to see what I got check out my web page...

The easiest way to make it smoke is set it on fire. You need to worry about fuel system and trans first. I had nothing but problems out of my 24v so it left a foul taste in my mouth.

well you could also dump like 8 bottles of 2stroke in your fuel. im sure that would make it smoke. and smell good too.

The basics on rollin smoke. All black smoke is, is more fuel then you have air to burn. So if you want smoke you have to do something to increase Fuel flow to the cylinders while not increasing the air flow. This also creates heat though because your turbo is not gettin enough fresh air to keep it cool. Black smoke is just unburned fuel rolling out the exhaust pipe. Idealy for the most amount of true power from your truck you want just that small puff of smoke when you hit it. This means you have the right balance of fuel and air.

This description is for street use trucks. For pullers and drag racers the rules are a little different but they are only running hard for seconds at a time and that keeps heat more manageable.
