lift pump gauge help!!!
ok i ordered a gauge kit but my truck already has a warning light that i think the previous owner said didnt work not really sure bad memory, anyway there is a line thet runes from the bottom of my filter assuming its a tapped banjo bolt. it has what looks like a cylindrical sending unit with a black plastic elbow with a wire coming out of it that is cut. the unit looks like it says p designs on it. does anybody know anything about this and could i hook my new gauge to it? as much help as possible would be greatly appreciated as i am starting a new job about 3 hours away and wanna get the gauge on asap.

that should be the pressure switch for the low fuel pressure warning light. You can install the new guage off the tappen banjo bolt and just too off for the presusre switch if you want to keep the light. But like the PO said, the light doesnt work. If you dont have the equipment and know-how to test the low fuel pressure light, throw the thing in the garbage.
