Edge Comp Smoke?

I was reading the thread and I just cannot get the whole VP-44 out of my mind. I know when I bought my truck it had 269k on the clock. 2 weeks later I hooked up the Edge Juicew/Attitude and my fuel PSI at idle was like 9 and WOT dropped from there to like 3. I tapped the pump wire right away. Shortly after I did not see no crazy smoke like what alot of people were claiming, and popped the death code on the cluster as well. I was lucky and timing was right, there was a injection shop that had the Bosch machine to test and program them and they even did in house rebuilds. I got a cool tour and picked up another VP on my way out. Once I replaced it, the code was gone, no dead peddle, and with the dual exhaust out the back...well it was like smoke out a 4 lane highway on demand. Not sure if you have any shops near you that could test it for you. But I would be leaning towards a new VP in the near future. Sorry for the long post.
