1999 automatic just installed the edge ez does my truck have a boost elbow? and will it help to install if it does?

 

yes installing an edge adjustable boost elbow (like $30) will increase the amount of boost your turbo creats by choking waste gate pretty much. you can adjust how much boost you want

 

IIRC autos have an HY-35 this means you will have to get a j-hook to help keep the wastegate closed.

is the hole in the boost elbow suppose to be smaller or larger than the stock one?

 

i have a hx 35 i think i see the elbow

 

the boost elbow thru hole will be way smaller than the stock one. stock one looks just like a 3/8 pipe tap elbow with the other end barbed to bit on the hose and can easily pass thru a large amount of air and the one from edge has a really small hole in it, over half the size of the stock

 

Your right they didn't start to put hy35s in until 01. So yes install the boost elbow.
