air filter directly on turbo?
I have a 2003 generation 3 that I would like to attach a bhaf air filter to the turbo hose and remove the factory box. What filter will fit this turbo hose? I did remove the silence ring and the plastic baffles in the turbo tube as recommended by many.
thanks v/r j weis

all removing the baffles and silencer ring do is make the turbo louder.
does nothing for performance.

you're not really going to get cooler air.
Your turbo is going to heat up the air either way, and your intercooler is going to cool it back down.
if air is too cold in the intake manifold, your truck will actually get worse fuel economy. IAT sensor readings will cause injection timing to change.
